Respect in School / Respect in Sport

Respect in School and Respect in Sport are Canada's only online bullying, abuse, harassment and neglect prevention programs for Community Leaders and Coaches.  Founded in 2004 by partners Wayne McNeil and former NHL hockey player Sheldon Kennedy, these programs have been developed in consultation with the Canadian Red Cross to protect youth and inform leaders.

Foothills School Division is proud to partner in an initiative that educates staff members, community members and volunteers around their impact upon the young people they see every day.

All employees and volunteers with Foothills School Division will participate in this program beginning in September of 2010.  Members of the community at large are encouraged to contact Administration at their local area school should they wish to get involved and participate in this opportunity to promote positive relationships with and among the youth in their everyday lives.
