Deputy Superintendent

The Deputy Superintendent with Foothills School Division takes leadership for the department of Learning Services.  Del Litke and his colleagues provide support to both schools and staff in order to optimize student learning through high quality teaching.

The focus at the core of Learning Services is support to staff as they work together in professional Learning Communities to develop an understanding of curricula, embed assessment of and for learning into their instructional practice, and infuse technology into their everyday work.

Foremost in the philosophy of Learning Services is the importance of developing inquiring minds, inspiring learning for life, meeting the diverse needs of all learners, and building the leadership capacity of all individuals across Foothills School Division.
