Our Transportation team is dedicated to providing safe and efficient service to all students entrusted to their care.
Foothills School Division’s Transportation department operates almost 70 bus routes serving the Towns of Okotoks and High River as well as smaller communities and rural areas.
More than half of our student population is transported daily with our bus fleet clocking an average of 11,500 kilometres each day.
PLEASE NOTE: Bus passes for eligible in-town students will be available for pick-up at your school beginning the week of August 18, 2014 through the first two weeks of September. For more information please click here.
For real time updates on route delays and cancellations, please check the “Quick Links” section on the homepage of the FSD website, then click on the Bus Delays & Cancellations link. We will also highlight urgent information, including school closures, on a scrolling banner above the Quick Links/Latest News/Events sections on the homepage.
You may also wish to follow FSD on Twitter: @fsd38. We tweet information regarding bus cancellations and route delays the moment we receive it from Transportation.
In a school division as large as FSD weather conditions and other factors can vary significantly from one community to another, particularly in rural areas. In times of severe weather, members of our Transportation Department are out on the roads as early as 4:30 a.m. to assess conditions and make the best decisions possible to safeguard our students and drivers.
