Foothills Flexible Learning
In addition to our rich classroom experiences, Foothills School Division offers a variety of flexible programming options:
HUB@Home (Grades 1-12)
The Foothills School Division offers full time online programming from Grades 1 to 12 through the HUB@Home online School. HUB@Home is designed for students who are interested in learning from home, need greater flexibility in pacing, when they access their learning, and where they learn.
HUB@Home is available for Foothills School Division students, families residing outside of FSD boundaries, and returning grade 12's who are upgrading.
If you would like to know more or would like to register for the HUB@Home online school, please visit this webpage.
The Hub (Grades 10-12)
The Hub is an educational online platform that local principals, in consultation with the Principal of HUB@Home, may select in order to help program for students in their local schools. Please contact your local administrator for greater detail.
Foothills School Division acknowledges that a family may provide, at home or elsewhere, a home education program for their student if the program meets the requirements of the regulations and is under the supervision of a board as outlined in Section 20 of the Education Act. Parents choosing home education have the responsibility for planning, managing, providing, evaluating, and supervising their children’s courses of study. They must develop a home education program that enables the student to achieve appropriate learning outcomes.
Home education in Foothills School Division is governed by Administrative Procedure 231 - Home Education. Parents wishing to pursue a home schooling option supervised by Foothills School Division are encouraged to contact us.
