Jack Molyneux - Ward 1 Trustee
403-860-3059 - firstname.lastname@example.org
Jack’s family are long-time residents of the M.D. of Foothills. His wife Lorraine graduated from Oilfileds and Jack graduated from Okotoks High School (currently EOJHS). Graduating from the University of Lethbridge in 1985, Jack came directly to Red Deer Lake School where he taught his entire career, retiring in 2013. Lorraine, Keith (son), and Jack lived in the Priddis area for much of that time with Keith attending Red Deer Lake School. The family built a house in Turner Valley 16 years ago and it’s been their home ever since. (The first house Jack and Lorraine ever owned was in Longview.) Jack loves teaching and he would say his career has always been about his students and the school community. He has taught at all levels from K-9 and every subject except French and Music, but his passion has always been teaching P.E. On top of teaching, he has spent countless hours helping with extracurricular activities from special events through to drama and music productions. Coaching has always been an important part of who he is, providing opportunities for students to develop, not only as athletes, but learning life skills while competing in Foothills and provincially. He can still be found at the Foothills Athletic Council annual track meet working as the official starter or volunteering at RDL. He has been active locally, volunteering as announcer for the Millarville ½ Marathon and the Turner Valley Triathlon. Jack, with his camera and dog Lily, can be often found on their daily walk along the banks of the Sheep River. Enjoying the wildlife and splendor of the Turner Valley/Black Diamond area is still one of his favourite pastimes.
