Acting Assistant Superintendent, Learning Services

Foothills School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Caroline Roberts as Acting Assistant Superintendent, Learning Services effective August 15, 2018.
Mrs. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Education (Leadership and Educational Administration) from the University of Lethbridge. Mrs. Roberts also recently completed the Cultures of Thinking course from Harvard Faculty of Education.
Caroline possesses extensive k-12 experience in three school authorities in British Columbia and Alberta where she has been both teacher and school administrator in diverse rural and urban setting. Mrs. Roberts brings proven high-quality leadership, administration and achievement in educational excellence as a school Principal at Longview School, Big Rock School, and Oilfields Jr./Sr. High School.
Acting Superintendent Pam Rannelli offers the following about Mrs. Roberts’ capacity as an educational leader: “Caroline’s diverse experience and background will serve her well as she takes on this role in supporting system wide learning and improvement in this role. Caroline is highly respected among school leaders across Foothills School Division where she is recognized for her capacity to ensure students have the highest quality of instruction, teachers are supported in their personal and collaborative professional learning, and the provincial and Division goals for education are successfully achieved within each school context where she has served as a Principal.”
Caroline shares “I am a strong advocate for Foothills School Division and extremely proud of the exemplary work we do to improve student learning. I take great pride in working for such a progressive and innovative school division. I model a high standard of professional performance, integrity and hard work and I look forward to doing so at the Division level in this role.”
