Announcement: Vice-Principal Big Rock School
Foothills School Division is pleased to announce Ms. Jill Alexander as Vice-Principal of Big Rock Elementary School.
Before joining Foothills School Division in 1997 Ms. Alexander earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge. In 2014 she completed her Masters of Education degree from the University of New Brunswick.
As a teacher Ms. Alexander has provided high quality instruction for students at C. Ian McLaren School, Blackie School, Dr. Morris Gibson School, and Cayley School. Ms. Alexander is an experienced school leader who has supported student learning, school improvement, and teaching excellence in her previous roles as Divisional Instructional Coach and Vice-Principal of both C. Ian McLaren School and Cayley School.
“Having worked with the Big Rock staff in an Instructional Coach role I know I am joining a staff dedicated to student success. As an educator I believe strongly in the power of relationship, teamwork, and creating innovative learning environments that encourage excellence for all. I look forward to new, rewarding experiences as I help students and colleagues grow and achieve success,” said Ms. Alexander.
