Christine Pretty was elected to the Foothills School Division Board of Trustees in October 2010 and currently serves as Board Chair.
Born and raised in Calgary, Christine relocated to the Priddis area in 1997 with her husband Ken and children, Mack and Natalie. She immediately immersed herself in community activities, with a focus on education. Christine served as President of Priddis Early Learning Programs from 1999-2003. Both of her children attend school in Foothills School Division, where Christine volunteered as a director on the Red Deer Lake School Council for seven years, most recently serving as School Council Chair. She was also involved as President of the Priddis Community Association from 2002-2004 and actively supports fundraising initiatives for local minor hockey associations on an ongoing basis.
Christine, who received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, spent several years as Sales Manager for Cam-Net Communications, a large national telecommunications company. She also earned a Petroleum Land Contract Diploma from Mount Royal College.
