Jeannine, her husband and three children all have deep ties to Foothills School Division, with each family member completing their elementary and junior-senior high schooling in FSD schools.
Jeannine moved to the Foothills region in 1979 as a Grade 5 student of Percy Pegler School (now École Percy Pegler School), which was housed in Okotoks Junior-Senior High School (now École Okotoks Junior High School) at the time. In 1987, she graduated from the then-brand new Foothills Composite High School.
She received a Montessori Teaching Diploma in 1990 from the St. Nicholas Training Centre in England before starting a family. Jeannine and her family returned to the Foothills area in 1995 before settling in Black Diamond in 1997 where all three of her daughters could attend school in the same community. Two of her girls have since graduated from Oilfields School and her third daughter is set to graduate in 2016.
Jeannine also worked in FSD for several years, first as an Educational Assistant guest instructor beginning in 2001, and then full-time from 2003 to 2009. She currently owns and operates the concession in Oilfields School and invites everyone to stop by and say hello.
